Become A Lawyer Without Law School?!

A panel of experts will share the alternative path to becoming a lawyer in Washington via an apprenticeship. The Law Clerk Program is a four-year program designed to provide educational and practical experience through a combination of work and study with an experienced lawyer or judge. Completion of the program qualifies individuals to take the Washington bar examination WITHOUT attending law school.

Panel Members:

Katherine Skinner, Washington State Bar Association

Ben Phillabaum, Principal at Phillabaum, Ledlin, Matthews, Sheldon in Spokane and graduate of the apprenticeship program.

Joanna Puryear, WSU alum employed at the Burke Law Group who just sat for the Washington State Bar Examination following her four-year apprenticeship.
