ASWSU Student Legal Services
ASWSU Student Legal Services is a student-run office created to provide a limited scope of legal services to undergraduate students at Washington State University’s Pullman Campus. We offer free 30-minute legal consultations with our attorneys, Melissa Luna and Danelle Forseth, to students who have a valid WSU student ID.
Student Legal Services also offers internship opportunities each semester to highly motivated students aspiring to gain insight into the dynamics of the legal profession. Internships are offered to students seeking credit under Political Science or Criminal Justice, as well as on a volunteer basis. Interning at SLS is a great opportunity to gain experience in an office setting and build a professional relationship with practicing attorneys.
For legal concerns, please contact sls@wsu.edu. For more information about Student Legal Services, please contact Director Emma Heilman or Associate Director Bridger Rust.

Washington State University’s Pre-Law Society
Pre-Law Society Mission Statement
WSU Pre-Law seeks to serve as an institution that brings like-minded students together in an effort to interact with, and examine the legal structures that govern our society. The Pre-Law Society’s activities include peer mentoring for the LSAT, social events, and much more. Learn more on their Facebook or Instagram page. This semester, we will be focusing on providing insight to prospective law students about the application process, taking the LSAT, and much more through specialized meetings with law school personnel.
WSU Mock Trial
At Washington State University, Mock Trial is offered as a class that provides students with an in-depth exploration of the courtroom and litigation process. Every year students are given a case; using rules of evidence, witnesses, and attorneys, act out trials at tournaments around the country. WSU’s Mock Trial team participates in the national mock trial competition sponsored by the American Mock Trial Association as well as other invitational tournaments throughout the year.
Please contact Lindsi Alcantar, the instructor and coach of WSU’s Mock Trial Team for more details about the class and team.
